China to standardize on USB for cell phone charging
China is in the process of mandating standards for all cell phones sold in the country to be rechargeable via USB . If this standard is enforced one wonders if there will be a move to do this in the rest of the world as well. This is good news to some as many were anticipating China to come up with their own standards instead of something already available such as USB. How do you say “hey man can I charge my cell phone on your computer for a second” in Chinese? Without the correct security measures in place this could be a great way to spread a USB based trojan >;-)
